The Story of Herr B, the Once Again, Loved Bug
Posted on - 8/8/2006
In 1961 in Wolfsburg, Germany a little turquoise car came into this world destine for a life beyond his wildest of dreams. The little car with a shape that was ugly to some and "cute" to others was purchased under the "car immigration" program and after vacationing in Germany with his new owner, he ultimately moved to America.

Pooh Review In People.
Posted on - 2/19/2005
Did anyone else take as much umbrage at the review of "Pooh's Heffalump Movie" in the February 21 "People" magazine as I did? Other than some obvious Time/Warner anti-Disney bias, this was just an incredibly terrible review. Here is my response that I sent to the Editorial Staff at "People":

A Response to Should there be a Disney on The Walt Disney Company Board?
Posted on - 12/20/2004
Here is just one letter I have received about this article in favor of keeping a Disney family member on The Walt Disney Company Board of Directors. I can tell from the response that many people feel there should be a Disney family member on the board.

Should there be a Disney on The Walt Disney Company Board?
Posted on - 12/14/2004
This is a subject that can fuel debates from many people when you are talking about one of the most well know companies in the world, The Walt Disney Company. One Mickey News visitor, Frank Wierenga, has decided to try and do something about it. Being a shareholder of Disney, Frank has the ability, as do all share holders, to present ideas to the board that help drive the company. Frank has started a campaign to ensure that a Disney descendent is always on the board of directors for The Walt Disney Company.

Paris Disneyland
Posted on - 6/23/2004
I saw the new section on Mickey News. My family exchanged houses with a French family from Epernay last summer. Epernay is a small town about 1 hour by car from Paris Disneyland. We endured the heat of last August - where more than 15,000 people died from the heat wave. Disneyland was our paradise because most of the park is air conditioned!

We're just seeking a little magic.

First, let me start out by saying that I am a former Cast Member, and I, along with my wife and kids, am a devoted Disney lover. The whole mentality is a way of life for my family. I personally have been to WDW more than 15 times and my wife and I are on a mission to make sure that our children experience the Disney Magic as much as they so desire. However, our annual trip to WDW this year was not one that will go down in the history books.

I Remember When!
Posted on - 3/30/2004
The happy place is gone, there are no more employees with big smiles on their faces and proud to be working there. They just do their jobs and look forward to quitting time to get out of there and go home. Gone are the days when the employee would be more then willing to take the extra mile to make the guest happy and satisfied, and to help each other when needed without being asked. The magic has been lost in this enchanted place and it is no different then any other amusement park, I remember when the employee would tell everyone that he or she would meet where the worked and how lucky they were to be part of the of it. They were once told that they were the ones that created the magic in this happy place and their efforts were appreciated. Now they are nothing more then an employee and when the bottom line numbers do not meet expectations they are let go because the are an expense to the company.
