I really like everything about Disney, and I feel most lucky in so many ways to know what I know about Disney.

Last Friday I went to Hong Kong Disneyland as this was the first day of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas celebration. I was at the park nine hours, so I had the chance to have several cups of coffee.

It's a Disney time of the year, Mickey Mouse was on Main Street U.S.A., dressed in his winter outfit.

I Found A Magic Door

Our family went to Walt Disney World in December of 1971 for a grand Merry Christmas vacation, I was eleven years old. I was not so excited about the trip to Florida, that was so far away, I could only think about all of the travel time to getting there. Once in Florida we went over to Disney World the very next morning it was Christmas Day, Dad had us all up at 6:00am in the morning. I can still remember getting up that first day! We pulled into the Disney World parking lot that was bigger than the city where we lived. We waited for a tram, and I clearly remember that the tram was really cool. The tram stopped at a boat dock, we then waited to cross a lake that was as big as an ocean. The boat slowly left the dock and Dad pushed us up to the bow to have a good view of where we were going. To be honest with you at eleven years of age, I had no idea what to truly expect to see at this magical place. I was looking out over the bow of the ferry boat clearing my eyes, there was a castle on the horizon that was growing larger with every passing second. I stood there in total amazement and I asked myself if I should not start to get excited. We approached the ferry dock at a speed slower than a walking turtle, the whistle blew, let's go! I was not aware at the time just how much of a positive impact that Walt Disney would have on my life. I was not aware how much my life would change because of this trip to Disney World.

Have your ever though just how interesting a door can be? Sometimes we know what is on the other side, but sometimes we do not know. We turn the door knob slowly wondering what really is inside. Hong Kong Disneyland has many doors, big doors, small doors, interesting doors, and many magical doors. Some doors are glass, I have seen wooden doors, and then there are those heavy steel doors.
