Disney World Trip Report
Posted on - 7/9/2007
I went to Florida with my family for a week. We stayed in the Sarasota area on the west coast. I am not going to talk about the beach part of the vacation, only the Disney part. I did not go to Disney World this year. But I did do something that every girl loves to do: I went shopping at Downtown Disney.
Pirates!
Posted on - 5/28/2007
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is coming out on May 25 and I cannot wait to see it. Actually, I will have to. It is during final exam time for me and I will be quite busy studying. But the suspense of the third movie is killing me. I cannot believe the third movie is already here. I am going to mention a few things that make these movies great.
Dream Job
Posted on - 3/14/2007
As I am sitting here, wondering what I can do because my school had a snow day today, I thought that I should write an article. I haven't written an article in a while, so I decided that now would be the perfect time. My mother printed out an article online talking about Disney Dream Jobs. I haven't heard much about this so I am assuming that this has something to do with the Disney celebration of Year of a Million Dreams. I read over the list of jobs that were offered: pirate, princess in waiting, Jungle Cruise skipper, park parade performer, and Haunted Mansion butler. It says that this is at Disneyland, but I will broaden my imagination to Disney World too. What job would I like to have at Disney World…
Television Shows Vs. Movies
Posted on - 11/1/2006
I was watching the Disney Channel last Friday night and I saw the schedule lineup for the channel. I was shocked, the Disney Channel was playing old television shows, usually they only run the new shows they have on, but they were running old television shows I used to watch when I was a child. One of the shows was The Little Mermaid and another was Timon and Pumbaa. This got me thinking, are the television shows that are based off the movie actually as good as the movie.
From Tennis Shoes to Glass Slippers: Erica's Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Fairytale
Posted on - 9/18/2006
Once upon a time, not so very long ago, there was a young maiden named Erica. She dreamed of the day that she and her family would return to visit the Magical Kingdom of Walt Disney World. Finally, that glorious day arrived.

Looking Forward to Disney
Posted on - 6/8/2006
It's been a few years since I have been to Disney World and I am going this year. I've missed it and some things have really changed since the last time I was there in 2004. Back then, I only went to the Magic Kingdom for one day, and this year, my family and I are going to the Magic Kingdom and Downtown Disney. We are also either going to Epcot or MGM Studios. I know my family is not going to Animal Kingdom, so I will not be able to ride Expedition Everest. It looked like a very fun roller coaster but there will be lots of other new things for me to see. Here are a few things I am looking forward to on my Disney trip.
Dining in Walt Disney World
Posted on - 5/16/2006
Food, who doesn't love it? I know I do and I love the food and restaurants located at Walt Disney World. People have a wide variety of food choices and restaurants to choose from. Everything from fast food to character dining is present at Walt Disney World. I'll say my opinions on some of my favorite places to grab a bite to eat.
Shopping
Posted on - 4/3/2006
Shopping, who doesn't love it? I know I do. And I especially love shopping at Walt Disney World. With so many stores and merchandise stands to choose from, shopping can be a lot of fun. I'm going to give you a tour of some of the best places to shop at. I'm sure all of you Disney World fans already know the best places to shop at, but I'm just going to give some of my opinions on these shops.
Hong Kong Disneyland: Expansion in the East
Posted on - 3/22/2006
Just over half a year after Hong Kong Disneyland opened to the public, the first new additions to the smallest Magic Kingdom of them all have been announced.
Disney, In The Eyes Of A British Teen
Posted on - 3/10/2006
Hi, I'm Andy and I'm a British fifteen year old. Not the most obvious choice for a Mickey News columnist.
The Love Birds
Posted on - 2/14/2006
Love is in the air and Valentine's Day is near and three of the most famous couples at the Walt Disney World parks are Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, and Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. I'm going to write about their history briefly and some interesting information behind these characters that make up the famous couples.
Original V. Sequel
Posted on - 2/2/2006
As I was looking through all of my Disney movies, I realized that I had all of the original movies, but not many of the sequels. Disney made a lot of sequels to the great classic movies. I'll say my opinions on what I thought of some of them and which movie is better. You may not agree with me on my choices, but they are just my opinions and thoughts.
Toon Time
Posted on - 1/13/2006
I remember waking up bright and early Saturday morning at 7 A.M. to watch cartoons. The last time I did that, I was probably eleven years old. Now at the age of sixteen, I can't even imagine getting up early on a Saturday morning. All Disney articles are fun to write, but this one will be especially fun to write because I am going to recall all the old Disney cartoons I used to watch on Saturdays. Some of you may not remember these cartoons, but I sure do.

Have a Merry Disney Christmas
Posted on - 12/4/2005
I know I already did an article like this where I talk about Disney things and how they pertain to my holiday, but that was Halloween. It is now Christmas time and a different holiday, so I'll just mention a few things of how Disney is a part of Christmas.
Disney Halloween
Posted on - 10/15/2005
I have decided to write a Halloween article dealing with Disney. I'm in the Halloween mood and after all, Halloween isn't that far away. Now when you normally think of Disney you don't usually associate that word with Halloween or being scary, but Disney can have a lot to do with Halloween, and you might be surprised how much. I will include some of my own past stories dealing with Disney being part of my Halloween.
Top Attractions at the Magic Kingdom
Posted on - 10/12/2005
There are many rides to choose from in the Magic Kingdom in the Walt Disney World Resort. But which one should you ride. There are thrillers like Splash Mountain and tamer rides like It's A Small World. I will describe some of the top rides (at least I think they are) and try to give you a better idea and view of them, coming from somebody who has rode these rides thousands of times.
Are Disney Parks Safe?
Posted on - 8/1/2005
After hearing and reading about all of these accidents, I begin to question the safety of Disney World. There are many attractions at all four parks and on anyone something can go wrong. I'm sure there are other accidents happening at other parks around the country, around the world, but those theme parks aren't in the spotlight. Disney World and Disneyland are in the spotlight and people care whether the parks are safe or not. Lets take a look at some of these recent accidents and I will give you my opinions on them.
Family Separation
Posted on - 7/26/2005
Sometimes while you are vacationing at Disney World, you need to spend some time apart. Now you go there as a family looking to bond, but the heat and the crowds and the stress get to you that you need to spend some time apart for a while. If you are going there with teenagers and it's just getting too stressful, then let them go off and do their own thing.
A Better Tomorrow
Posted on - 6/30/2005
It was a world of progress; a world of dreams and hope; a world in constant motion. However, this land's neglect was leading it down a much different path. A path of empty walkways; a path of uninteresting "space junk"; a path of loneliness. When asking thrill seekers what their favorite ride is at Disneyland, 9 out of 10 respond with, "Space Mountain, hands down!" Yet when presented with the similar question, "what is your favorite land?" not many would respond with Tomorrowland.
Timing
Posted on - 6/12/2005
Timing is everything in Disney World. What time of year to go to the parks at, what days of the weeks, when to get an early spot to watch the parade, what time to ride an attraction, etc. I'll give you some tips on when to watch the parades at Disney World and when to ride some attractions. Now I can't guarantee that all of these tips will work but they have always worked for me.
Disney World Through A Teens Eyes
Posted on - 4/23/2005
I have been to Disney World many times. I’m fifteen and I’ll admit I have been there. Most teenagers will say that Disney World is too childish for them but there is no age on when you can go to Disney World. You’re never too old to go there. I will give you a teenager’s perspective on attractions at Disney World.
A Pirate's Life For Me II
Posted on - 3/22/2005
The Rooms
Each stage inside Pirates has been dubbed a certain name. As you leave the world of the living and descend into a world of yellow-bellied landlubbers, you enter “The Grotto”, where brightly hued stones create a watery underground cave, and whispers of dead men tell no tale echo throughout the chamber. Around the bend is “Dead Man’s Cove”, where 3 pirates rot on the sand, the captain’s hat becoming a nest for seagulls. In the distance, bright spurts of light reveal a sunken ship. Peals of thunder boom while a ghastly captain navigates his boat and crew under the waves of “Hurricane Lagoon.”
A Pirate’s Life For Me
Posted on - 3/14/2005
A vast expanse of moody blue waters reach out to the horizon like a hand groping for riches and jewels. The salty sea breeze whips through your hair and a Jolly Roger billows in the wind. You smile as you grip the helm, daydreaming about the hidden treasures and mountains of gold waiting to be discovered. Clunking along on a wooden leg, you bark at the crew to swab the deck or some such pirate jargon. The life of a pirate can be so glamorous; what’s not to love? Well, there’s the part about cursed treasure, greed resulting in death, shipwrecks, and drunken fights…but we’ll disregard those facts like those who crave a good adventure and find it riding Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland.
Disney Trip
Posted on - 1/29/2005
In December my mom and I went to Southern California to go to Disneyland and other places. My mom and I are big Disney fans. I’ve been once before and I was really looking forward to this trip. My mom had been planning this for a good 6 months. My dad is in Baghdad with the Army and my mom needed a break from worrying about him. My mom also has a lot of friends who also love Disneyland and were meeting up with us while we were there.
Walkin in a Winter Disneyland
Posted on - 12/31/2004
From December 18 to the 21, 2004, my family and I traveled to Disneyland during the holiday season for the first time! Disneyland was always a summer vacation for us; we were quite excited to see the Happiest Place on Earth dressed up for the holidays!
Here's a small Christmastime experience I am looking forward to this winter, as well as others leaving for Disneyland this December!

The biting winter breeze enters through your jacket. You grasp the tails of the collar, pop them, and bring the edges closer about your neck. The chilling night frost slowly settles in the park. You try bouncing up and down to keep your circulation flowing, attempting to stay warm as you wait in line, impatient. Finally reaching the head of the queue, you fish out a five dollar bill hidden in the depths of the black purse slung over your shoulder. You hand it to the man with the outstretched hand, palm up. The cash register rings, the tinkle of cold metal coins dropping into your hand; the wallet is hastily stuffed into your purse. Behind the Plexiglas he rolls the fried dough in a tub of cinnamon. Eager, hungry, cold, you grasp the treat and hold it by the small wrapper encircling the middle of the churro.

Missing Disneyland Italian Restaurant
Posted on - 11/7/2004
When it comes down to my favorite subject regarding Disneyland, the food, I find the theme park to be devoid of Italian! Technically speaking, I can name a couple: in DCA, they have Wine Country Trattoria (which isn’t the best, I’ve eaten there; it’s rather bland, but has an appealing patio setting), Downtown Disney has on-the-go Napolini Italian food (which I haven’t yet tried), and of course the traditional greasy, cheesy pizza in Tomorrowland’s Pizza Port. But where is the old-fashioned, sit-down and be served Italian restaurant? It’s inhumane I tell you! I always hope one day to be an Imagineer (don’t we all), so here is my go at a restaurant I believe Disneyland is sorely missing.

Just Another Disney Fan.

It's amazing how some things never leave you. Yes, that may be cliché, but everyone has those special memories hidden deep down inside, or bubbling on the surface of your lips in a smile. My happiest memories always begin with a pink and blue castle in sunny Anaheim, California.

After reading many articles relating to the battles and mismanagement of Michael Eisner, I came to the conclusion that I really do not like Michael Eisner! It seems to me he do not have the best future secured for Disney, a company I have grown to love like many other people around the world. I sure do not want to see my children turned off from this nostalgic company that has produced so many wonderful characters, movies, and theme parks because it has been left in shambles. I decided to research more in depth on this not too pleasant topic, hoping to find a way to help Roy Disney in his clash with CEO Michael Eisner. I just so happened to find the perfect website.

The Wonderful World of Disney

Hi Everyone,
My name is Kylie and I am 8 years old and in the 3rd grade. I love to go to the Disneyland Resort and wish we could go more than we do.
My favorite ride in California Adventure is the Maliboomer. I like the Maliboomer because it shoots you straight up.
My Favorite ride in Disneyland is Indiana Jones because a big snake pops out at you!
When we go to the park I love to eat at Ariel’s Grotto!
What I like to do at the California parks.

Hey kids,
I’m Jacob and I am 10 going on 11 and in the 5th grade.
My two favorite rides at Disneyland are Splash Mountain and Space Mountain. My two favorite rides at California Adventure are California Screamin’ and Maliboomer. If you are like me, and a roller coaster freak you should try these four rides, but if you are not that crazy about roller coasters then you should try just about any of the other rides.
