Meet The Robinsons
Posted on - 4/1/2007
On the spur of the moment, my sister called and invited me to go to the movies wither her and my two younger nephews. They were off-track from year-round school and needed a diversion. She invited two boys that were friends and we decided to go to the first showing of the day of "Meet The Robinsons".

Cesar Chavez Day. For most, a regular day of school or work; for me and the rest of the employees and students at my university, it is a day off—a day to do whatever we want, for however long we want to do it. So what's a regular college student such as myself to do, you ask?
Step up - A Review
Posted on - 8/17/2006
The other night a new Touchstone movie came out. I thought I'd give my 2 cents on it. First of all I did what I never do and I read the reviews before hand. They weren't stellar but they weren't horrible either. Still, this one little thing made me worried about how much I would enjoy Step Up. When I was younger and had a much thinner body, I used to be a dancer so I'm a total sucker for dance movies. I own a lot of them on DVD. Also, I have been looking SOOOO forward to "Step Up" coming out. Well, the moral to the story about reading reviews before I see the movie is at least for me...DON'T. I really enjoyed the movie. Sure, it was somewhat predictable. I knew who would get together and I even saw some of the "twists" coming. Still, I enjoyed the ride. I loved the dance as well as Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan.

Possibly by now everyone on the planet has seen Cars and my review is unnecessary, but in case you have not seen it yet...here goes.
Hercules

Hidy-ho Disney Fans, below is my take Hercules, a fun, clever adventure about mythical creatures, finding our place and learning what it means to be a true hero.
Eight Below - A Review
Posted on - 2/8/2006
Living in the land which is the home to the Iditarod and many other sled dog races and where sled dogs are our favorite athletes, Eight Below's sneak peek played to a packed crowd. Eight Below is a beautiful movie that will appeal to just about everyone. There are sad parts and funny parts. The scenery is beautiful! The dogs are amazing!!! I really have to say that though the human actors performed well, the dogs really steal the show. They are amazing!!! I suppose I already said that but it is worth saying again.

Chiucken Little - A review
Posted on - 11/7/2005
Chicken Little is a delightful movie and very enjoyable. The animation is every bit as good as any other computer animated movie out there...including Pixar. The story is fast paced and fun. My teens, husband, friends and I laughed all the way through it. The story is fun and enjoyable. I won't say it is the best film I've ever seen but it is a really fun time for everyone. I enjoyed this movie not just once but twice this past weekend.
Valiant
Posted on - 8/26/2005
My husband, friends and I all saw Valiant this weekend. I was concerned about this movie since I had read some "not so" favorable reviews about it. When I arrived at the theatre, I was told by people coming out how much they enjoyed the movie. I was really encouraged. Valiant is a wonderful movie with a great lesson about doing your best no matter how big or small you are. We all make a difference.
Sky High
Posted on - 8/25/2005
Sky High is a fun family film. I went with a good friend, my husband and all 3 of my teenage sons. We all loved it. My adult son who is a Marine also has seen it and liked it very much. One of the dads sitting behind us commented that all the adults in the theatre seemed to love it.
Herbie Fully Loaded
Posted on - 6/23/2005
My husband and I went to see the sneak preview of Herbie Fully Loaded on Sunday June 19 and had a wonderful time. The small auditorium was packed to capacity. They could have easily put this sneak in a larger auditorium since they had to turn people away.

A Lot Like Love - A Review
Posted on - 4/28/2005
A Lot Like Love starring Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet is a lot like enjoyable. We learn from the theatrical trailers and early on in the film that Oliver and Emily first meet 7 years ago by chance. The movie takes us by giant steps as they meet and meet again over the years. But wait! I don't want to give the plot away.
Ice Princess – A Review
Posted on - 3/23/2005
Though I was told that the Ice Princess was a "tween age" chick flick, I went to this movie with 4 other adult friends. We are all over 45, mom's, grandmoms and even a guy. We all enjoyed the movie. One friend said it was better than a lot of the movies we've seen recently. And this group of friends of mine goes to see movies A LOT! None of us felt it was JUST a young girl's chick flick.
Beauty and the Beast - A Review
Posted on - 3/13/2005
For my third review, I have watched the beloved movie we all know: Beauty and the Beast. A Disney movie with a real moral; it’s the inside of a person (or beast in this matter) that truly matters. Now, let’s see this film in my opinion, enjoy!
Bambi – A Review
Posted on - 3/12/2005
I almost didn't buy the New Bambi DVD. My babies are 20, 18, 16 and 14 and they all thought I was nuts. My battle cry is that one day I will have grandchildren. Actually, I really wanted the DVD for "ME" and to watch all the Bonus stuff on the second DVD.
The Pacifier - A Review
Posted on - 3/9/2005
I woke up this morning to the banter of the morning DJs. They said they weren't interested in seeing Disney's "The Pacifier" because we already have "Kindergarten Cop". That's like saying, "We already have 'Remember the Titan's' so we don't need to go see another football movie". Or "We already have the Sleepless In Seattle, so we don't need another romantic comedy". Its totally ridiculous. Also, other than the "tough guy meets kids" genre, that is all the similarity "The Pacifier" has with "Kindergarten Cop". The two plots are not anything alike.
National Treasure - A Review
Posted on - 11/22/2004
National Treasure is a fun romp! I enjoyed it thoroughly. My teen age sons and all my friends really enjoyed it and the 2 audience I sat with were totally captivated and even applauded at the end of the film.
The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
Posted on - 11/13/2004
Intro:
Here I sit once again, writing to you fine people, on a gorgeous night in Canada. Going along with my theme of animated movies, I will now give you my humble opinion on the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas. Being an odder movie then most, it screams Tim Burton, for fans of his; this is one of his best. It may not suit everyone’s liking, but if you trust my judgment, all the power to you.
Incredibles - A Review
Posted on - 11/7/2004
"The Incredibles" is...well...INCREDIBLE! Unlike most movies, if you have seen the trailer, you may have a basic idea of what the movie is about but you haven't seen the movie. Oh sure, you know that Mr. Incredible is retired and hates his desk job but you don't know why. You also don't know any of the fantastic twists and turns that will delight you through out this movie. The plot is brilliant, fun and action packed. "Boundin", a short feature which precedes the movie is delightful! I sat in with 3 audiences yesterday and people, including me, just couldn't resist applauding when the credits for "Boundin" began to roll. You will also get your first peek at the newest Disney/Pixar movie called "Cars". That will be out in theatres next November. It looks great! Does anyone else think the cars look suspiciously like the ones on Disneyland's Autopia???
