A few things you have to do the next time you go to California Adventure!

Here is a short list of some fun things to do at California Adventure that you may not know about. This is just a small list and the items do change from time to time.

  1. After watching the Muppet-Vision 3D show from the center rows section (best over all viewing for 3D effect), go see the show again and sit in the front row center area. Watch the penguin orchestra throughout the show. They are like a show unto themselves! Also read all the messages on the electronic scrolling sign during the pre-show instead of watching the monitors it is also like it’s own separate show!
  2. Arrive early enough (approximately 30 minutes) to the “It’s Tough To Be A Bug!” show to have time to walk around and read all the parodies of Broadway play posters. They are very funny!
  3. At Disney Animation’s Sorcerer’s Workshop, be sure to try out the Magic Book kiosks in the Beast’s library. By answering a series of multiple-choice questions, the book will tell you which Disney animated character you are most like! Also try the voice over dub exhibit where Ursula lets you sing or talk in place of the animated characters from several favorite Disney animated features.
  4. Take the time to enjoy the many outdoor entertainment shows around the park. Some examples are “A Walking Topiary”, Jugglers, Drum Dancers, and a Unicycle Stuntman.
  5. Go get a “freshly made” tortilla from the Mission Tortilla Factory. Yummy!
  6. Try the 4-course dinner at The Vineyard Room with or without wine this is a great restaurant. (outdoor patio seating only) The Mondovi Vineyards have since ceased to sponsor this restaurant.
  7. Play name that tune with friends and family to the Paradise Pier Area music. (It helps if you like the Beach Boys!)
  8. If you don’t want to wait at Soarin’ Over California and you didn’t get your fast-pass, they have a single rider line! While they will warn you that they won’t guarantee when you’ll get to ride, there often is an open seat due to families and friends riding together.
  9. Walk over to The Grand Californian Hotel and check out the Lobby! Stained glass mural on the entrance door and a huge fireplace too! Also good eats at the Storyteller Cafe. (Can you find the hidden Mickey in this hotel’s logo?)
  10. Disney’s Electrical Parade. This classic still stands the test of time. Possibly Disney’s best parade ever!
That is just a few cool things to try at California Adventure. Let me know your ideas so I can include them in the next list.
