Restaurant Review - Candy Palace
1/6/2004

By: Glenda Werner
E-Mail Glenda

The Candy Palace is located right in the heart of Main Street U.S.A. Disneyland California and is a must visit for anyone who loves freshly made chocolate treats and wonderful candy.

Who: Glenda, Alex (6) and Laurie (3 ˝)

Where: Candy Palace

When: Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003

What: Snack; Snowball candy (kids got shortbread cookies, but review is for the Snowball candy)

Approximate price of entrees: $6.20 total, including the kids’ cookies.

Rate the following (1-5 where 1-Poor, 2-Fair, 3-Good/Average, 4-Very Good, 5-Excellent):

  • Food: 5
  • Service: 5, very friendly cashier/CM, even though the store was packed. She talked with my kids, asked if they had a nice day, even put their cookies in their own bag.
  • Atmosphere: 3

Okay for Children: Yes

Okay for Couples: Yes

Be sure to try: the Snowball candy. OMG! Chewy chocolate with walnuts, coated in caramel, then rolled in coconut. You get 3 candy balls for $3.75.

General tips: Don’t try to escape the fireworks crowd leaving Main Street by coming at that time. It was better than the crowd on Main Street, but not by much.

Money saving tips: A bit expensive, but for me, it’ll be one of those “I don’t care how much they cost” items from now on :-)

Extra comments: These were so good, when I bit into the first one, I “Mmmmmmm”ed out loud. My kids looked at me like I was weird.
