Mickey News had the privilege of having an interview with a dancer in Disney’s latest teen hit, Confessions of a Teenage Dram Queen, Rochelle LaBrecque. Rochelle is a wonderful young woman, with lots of energy and a great desire to go places in life. There is no doubt in my mind that this part is just the start of a very long career in film.

Dancers on the set, Rochelle is 2nd from the left.

MN:Hi Rochelle, thanks for taking the time to talk to us today. We would like to get a little background about you, first of all, how old are you?
RL:I am 17 years old.

MN:Where is home for you?
RL:I live in the Ontario, Canada

MN:Do you have any siblings?
RL:I have a large extended family; I have 1 brother, 3 foster brothers and 1 foster sister.

MN:Does anyone else in your family act?
RL:No, but my father has done stand-up comedy for years.

MN:What grade are you in at school?
RL:I am in grade 12, just getting ready to finish.

Jerylyn(dancer), Lindsay Lohan and Rochelle on the set.

MN:What do you like best about school?
RL:"Friends" and the fact that I am almost finished.

MN:What part did you have in the movie?
RL:I was a dancer and also used as an extra in all dance scenes.

MN:How did you get the part?
RL:I have an Agent in Toronto who got me an audition.

MN:What suggestions do you have for young people if they want to get parts in movies like you did?
RL:Don't ever give up, believe in yourself and your dreams and success will follow.

MN:What was your favorite thing about working on the movie?
RL:I liked everything, it was all a new experience so everything about it was so exciting, and meeting the actors was a lot of fun also.

MN:What did you not like about working on the movie?
RL:Nothing, I loved everything about it.

MN:Who was your favorite person to work with on this movie and why?
RL:I got to know Lindsay Lohan the best and she was extremely nice and very personable.

MN:How long were you on the set?
RL:All together I was on the set for probably couple of weeks. It was spread out so it's hard to say exactly but we had some long days, some were 17 hour days.

Lindsay & Rochelle after long day on the set.

MN:What did your friends think about you getting the part?
RL:They thought it was so awesome, they were really proud of me, but it wasn't until they actually saw me in the movie that they freaked out. They thought it was really weird seeing me on the big screen.

MN:Are you currently working on any other films or any plans too?
RL:I definitely hope to be in many more films. I am moving to Toronto where my Agent is in hopes to further my dancing career.

MN:Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?
RL:This was one of the most exciting experiences in my life and I am looking forward to hopefully pursuing my dancing career and possibly some acting also. I would like thank everyone, my family and friends for supporting me throughout this great experience.

MN:Thanks Rochelle, it was a pleasure talking with you and we wish you much success with your life and hope that all of your dreams come true! If you ever do anything else with Disney we would love to hear about it and please keep us posted on your life and what you are doing.
RL:Your welcome and thanks for the opportunity to talk with you and your readers.
