What if, back in December of 1966, Walt Disney was not laid to rest at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale but instead, right before his death, he was cryogenically frozen with the hope of someday finding a cure for his lung cancer and bringing him back from his frosty resting place? Just when it seems that the Walt Disney Company is going to be taken over by a corporate raider and sold to the highest bidder a cure is found and Walt’s original circle of friends put a plan into action to help save Disney and bring Walt back!
Walt’s body has been kept in an abandoned lab just east of Bakersfield California ever since his supposed death in 1966 and the boy head to his icy cocoon with the doctor in tow. It doesn’t take long for the raider to find out about the plan and send his henchmen out to make sure Walt says on ice. The book takes you on an adventure to help Walt and his cronies keep the Disney Company whole and see to its successful future. You are never sure what will happen next or if they will succeed, you will just have to wait and see.
This is a fantastic tale and very fitting with what is going on at Disney currently. I caught myself laughing out loud when reading some parts and the book is one of those that is very hard to put down once you start reading it. This book is a must have for any Disney fan and gives an insightful view of Uncle Walt that is sure to entertain and delight the reader.
