John, as I will call him, said that the Mickey News newsletter is nothing but negative propaganda, gossip and full of letters from people wanting to hurt Disney! He called out a story that was put up on the 12th of June titled, “Escape to Disney World offers no reprieve from fear.” to not be news worthy. Well I am sorry you feel that way, I guess the Indy Star didn’t feel that way, as it was written by Ted Mandell who is a writer for the Star, not Mickey News!

I try and gather as many headlines from around the world that are related to Disney and the multitude of Disney companies around the globe and put them all up on the site. Some are positive, and others are negative as not everything in the world is as perfect as some of us would like to believe. Yes there have been stores that paint Disney in a navigate light, as well as many that are very positive about Disney. I have looked back at most all of the stores I have posted in the Articles section of the site and see that most all of them are positive about Disney, yet there are a few that have been critical.

John has said that he is going to start a site of his own in order to “balance” out my site and the negative propaganda that it is spreading. I welcome another Disney fan site to the world and would be happy to help him with it if I am able. As far as the need to balance my site, I would like to see how it is so unbalanced? My love for Disney is strong and runs deep in my soul, I would not want to hurt the Disney Company, or the Disney image in any way, and if anyone out there thinks that I am doing so, please send me a note and tell me what I am doing to hurt the image and magic of Disney.

I know you can’t please everyone, and I have never said I would try and please them all, but for some reason John’s letter really upset me with the accusation that I am trying to spread negative “propaganda” about Disney and I wanted to voice my concerns. John said he is going to inform Disney of my site and what I am doing, but I have already seen hundreds of visits from the Disney.com domain and welcome anyone from within Disney to contact me any time they think I am doing something wrong, or trying to hurt the company.

As far as John goes, I guess I should just chalk it up to just one person I can not please. I have hundreds of people who get my newsletter and never have I had one say something like John. If you don’t like the newsletter, I will not be offened if you do not get it. I have it in place so you can quicly scan some of the Disney headlines and see if there is something on the site that you would like to read more about. The stories are picked in no particular order and may or may not be all the stories on the site for the day. For the last three months I have tied a Disney DVD give away to the newsletter with the idea of giving a little piece of the magic to people who would enjoy it. I am taking my families money and buying these DVD’s each month to give to fellow Disney fans. So if that doesn’t tell people that I am pro Disney, I don’t know what does.

To those of you who do enjoy the newsletter and Mickey News I want to say thank you! You are why I am doing this, you are the reason I work late nights updating the site and trying to add new things. Your support over the last couple of months has been tremendous and it has made the countless hours that went into building this site, and the hours spent updating it each evening well worth it! I enjoy getting your letters and I appreciate the constructive criticism that I have gotten.
