Epcot's flagship attraction looks really sad without AT&T's sponsorship. Remember the AT&T sign as you back out of the ride? It's just a dark patch on the wall surrounded by lights. Even worse, you leave the cars and enter a huge empty room where the futuristic communications displays used to be.
Corporate selling-out it may have been, but it was much better than absolutely nothing.
Apparently several corporations have sent people to look around the ride and hold planning discussions, but no firm offers have been made as yet.
And it appears that the "Time Racers" idea has been dropped - for now at least. We were told that there are absolutely no immediate plans to change the ride as it now stands, but that a new sponsor would obviously want to include their own ideas.
