There was a very early time in 1955 that women's foundation garments could be purchased ON MAIN STREET!! Yes, we're talking Brassieres and other 'unmentionables from Hollywood Maxwell!
The location for the Shop once occupied the space on Main Street right by the China Closet, the porch with seating, it was to be kept at a discreet profile from the other shops and did allow for the gentlemen to be seated comfortably on the Porch (seating still remains, the only remnant) while the ladies treated themselves to a glimpse of finery for themselves.
Some of the newer items not yet found in many 'regular' shops. It also had an offering a timeline display of the evolution of the specialty items (corsets, stockings, support garments).
Many sponsors have come and gone and some remain. I am sure it would be a welcome return for the likes of Mrs. Rabbit!! (Jessica!!)
