Blacktop on Main Street U.S.A. – Did you know…

Did you know that Main Street U.S.A. is the only area in Disneyland that has ordinary blacktop paved for its walk ways?? Not because of the Turn of the Century theme, Horse Drawn Street Cars, or because of cost saving techniques in the construction budget.

This is because blacktop reflects the sun, thereby making it hotter to walk around on.... This simple strategy creates the influence for Guests to go into the shops to escape the heat! And of course, once inside, you are apt to spend!! Pretty clever if you ask me!!
