| One evening while reading my mail from visitors of the site I ran across the following e-mail from Hank saying how exciting it was to see his family’s photo on Mickey News in the EPCOT photo section.
“Whew, we enjoyed your site so much. As we were browsing, we even found a picture of us on our last visit to Epcot. My daughter's eyes lit up when she saw her picture there as did my wife. We are coming again in March for our yearly journey to Orlando and we can not wait. Thanks again for providing such a great place to look and remember.
Take care.
Hank”
The e-mail confused me a little as I don’t make a habit of posting photos of people without them sending them into the site first. So I e-mailed Hank thanking him for his kind words and asking him to clarify his e-mail to me and tell me what photo he was talking about.
Hank responded quite quickly sending the following photo.
He stated that while browsing the photo section he immediately recognized himself, his wife and his daughter in the photo that Mickey News’s own Dave Parker had taken at EPCOT. Here is a photo that we have put a box around Hank and his family as well as zoomed in a little.
Frank said, ”Don't ask how I picked it out but it leaped off the page. Take care and keep on sharing the magic.”
Dave made a project out of taking hundreds of photos of Walt Disney World for Mickey News this summer/fall and this image just happed to be of Hank and his family! Now the amazing thing to me is, what are the odds of some random person in a photo taken at the most popular theme park in the world being of a visitor of Mickey News? The odds have to be astronomical. Maybe Hank should be making his next family vacation to Las Vegas.
Here is a picture of Hank and his family around their brick at the Magic Kingdom.
Keep your eyes on Mickey News, as you never know when you might see yourself on the site just because you happened to be captured in one of the thousands of images we take of the parks each year. If you do see yourself on our pages, please, like Hank did, let us know!
Mickey News will be sending Hank and his family some special limited edition Mickey News pins to wear proudly the next time they visit one of the parks.
