The Matterhorn, in true Swiss fashion, sounding that 'all is well in the valley' and the shepherds may begin the day's work, the Disneyland Matterhorn also 'sounds off ' the morning each day with an alpenhorn! Just take a look at the signage for the Attraction and you will see what an alphorn looks like... very long.
Of course, since this would be a very exclusive talent, and would require a very early arrival 'on the job'; a recording is used. The Cast Members who hear this daily know that it is daybreak!
Disneyland at daybreak is a wonderful sight!! The birds all come out of the trees, the ducks come out of hiding, the flowerbeds begin to open their blooms and is it quiet!!
The Castle always looks its best at daybreak!! So yes, the Magic is happening even when there are no Guests in the Park!! It IS Magical!!
The first time I heard it, I thought someone set off a sound track that I never noticed before!! Very cool!! I wish everyone could hear it, and see Disneyland at dawn!!
