I woke up this morning to the banter of the morning DJs. They said they weren't interested in seeing Disney's "The Pacifier" because we already have "Kindergarten Cop". That's like saying, "We already have 'Remember the Titan's' so we don't need to go see another football movie". Or "We already have the Sleepless In Seattle, so we don't need another romantic comedy". Its totally ridiculous. Also, other than the "tough guy meets kids" genre, that is all the similarity "The Pacifier" has with "Kindergarten Cop". The two plots are not anything alike.
"The Pacifier" is a very funny family comedy rated PG. Vin Diesel does a very good job at playing the tough Navy Seal and the kids were all amazing. Brad Garrett was a scream. This movie is very funny and fun for the whole family. The auditorium was packed with every seat filled and the audience all had a great time.
As a mom: I wouldn't hesitate taking my younger children to see The Pacifier. Also, my teen age boys really enjoyed it. This movie is very entertaining and a lot of fun.
As an adult: I laughed myself silly and can't wait to go see it again tomorrow with a group of my closest friends. I give this film a 98 because...as you know...I have a hard time giving out 100s.
Gather up everyone you enjoy and go see The Pacifier this weekend. You won't be disappointed. I loved it!!
