I Admit It-I Have A Crush
3/14/2005

Dude, so like back in November, there was this totally awesome attraction that opened at Walt Disney World, and it totally rocks dude! Like Duuuude, I know you’re probably thinking that I’m talking about Stitch’s Great Escape, and like, that Stitch, well, he’s a cool dude and all, but dude, that’s so not what I’m talking about! So you’re probably wondering like what in the heck is this dudette rambling on about, and well, like, I’m totally talking about “Turtle Talk” at the Living Seas in Epcot, it’s totally radical, like dude!

“Turtle Talk” is an exhibit that features everyone’s favorite turtle, Crush, from Disney and Pixar’s animated feature film Finding Nemo. As my family and I filed into the theatre, none of us knew what to expect! After receiving the typical “move down to the end of the room” spiel, a cast member informs us of that Crush, the laid-back sea turtle, is out surfing, and has to be summoned. On the count of three everyone in the theatre screams for Crush, and he magically appears!

The unique thing about this attraction is that Crush doesn’t talk to us, he talks WITH us, and his purpose is to teach us anything we want or need to know about sea turtles! As his first task, this “hip” turtle teaches us the “turtle language,” and how the word “dude” can convey many emotions depending on how you say it. Once the audience has mastered the lingo, he instantaneously strikes up conversation with the members of the audience. Crush enjoys asking guests about human life, and invites the audience members to ask him questions about sea turtles, making the experience both fun and educational!

Check back in the following weeks for exciting updates, more magic is on the way with the opening of Soarin' Over California, the premiere of Lights Motors Action, and the reopening of Its A Small World. . .its a magical time as we prepare to celebrate the happiest celebration on earth!
