Cinderella's Royal Table Character Breakfast

Without a doubt Cinderella's Royal Table Character Breakfast is the most sought after of all character meals. This “Once Upon a Time" character breakfast is offered daily in the Magic Kingdom from 8 until 10:30 a.m. and takes place inside the Cinderella Castle – a venue that adds magic to the affair.

A seat at Cinderella's Royal Table is much coveted for many reasons. The adoring public not only gets to spend some time with Cinderella, Her Royal highness, they can meet the Disney Princesses and Princes. Characters vary, but may include Aurora, Snow White, Jasmine, Mary Poppins, Prince Charming, Aladdin, Peter Pan, Pocahontas, Prince Phillip and Belle. As you wait to be called to the dining hall, Cinderella's Fairy Godmother is there to entertain, take photos and give autographs.

Scaling the stairs of the castle to the restaurant is a delight as you marvel at the beauty of the morning sun shining playfully through the beautiful Cinderella-themed stained glass windows. The medieval magic continues as you enter the grand dining hall. Adorned with high ceilings and stained glass windows, and decorated in rich, deep tones, and tapestry backed chairs, the dining hall is the perfect place on earth to look down upon Fantasyland. Attired in French Renaissance-Style clothing, the servers add splendor to the atmosphere.

The luxury of space however is not afforded here. No matter how skilled the servers are, you can’t help but notice how they have to weave through the very closely spaced tables. No doubt, WDW Dining is trying to minimize rejections and maximize profits.

Service is impeccable in this restaurant. I have a friend who forgot to bring her camera and the server magically produced one. It came with a price tag of course, but it was a convenience nonetheless. The most royal treatment goes to your child since s(he) will be given undivided attention by each character in attendance. If your man rejoices in being addressed as “my lord", he will love the breakfast as much as your little princess.

Dressing your little girl or boy up in a costume is a great idea. Your own little princess or prince will feel right at home and this makes the photos you take more meaningful. However, your kid most probably needs a change of comfortable clothes after breakfast.

If you are celebrating a special occasion, don’t forget to tell the restaurant that. You will be treated like royalty and may be given special gifts for the occasion.

At the time of booking a deposit of $10.00 per adult and $5.00 per child will be charged to your credit card. If you do not have a credit card, you can still book a Priority Seating by sending your deposit by check or money order within 14 days of making your reservation. Otherwise, your Priority Seating will be cancelled without notice. You may cancel 24 hours before your Priority Seating without losing your deposit paid and your credit card will be credited the deposit. To cancel you must call (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463). Infants will not be charged, but must be included in the party size. The lead name on the Priority Seating may not be changed and no names may be transferred to the reservation once it is booked.

If you have a WDW package that includes meals, you will be able to use your "wishes". Nonetheless, you still have to use your credit card as a guarantee. Make sure you have your package's confirmation number handy when you call WDW Dining because they have to verify your package.

You must call exactly 90 days before the day of your breakfast. Call WDW Dining on (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463). Although WDW Dining opens at 7am Eastern Time, it’s best to start calling at 6:55 am Eastern Time and continue to redial until someone picks up the phone. Reservations are usually gone by 7:10am. If everything’s booked, try calling a second time at 7.15am because WDW Dining may have discovered multiple bookings using the same name. Don’t give up if that fails and call everyday from a week before you go for there may be cancellations.

If you still don’t have any luck, consider the Cinderella's Gala Feast. This is a dinner though and you won’t get to dine in the Castle. The dinner is held at the Grand Floridian Resort's 1900 Park Fare restaurant.

Another alternative is to have lunch or dinner in the Castle. But these aren't character meals although Cinderella often greets guests in the lobby.
