Cars - A Review
6/10/2006

Possibly by now everyone on the planet has seen Cars and my review is unnecessary, but in case you have not seen it yet...here goes.

I loved "Cars". I know, I'm easy to please but sometimes I really do think movies stink. Not this one. It is very clever. I LOVED the music!!! I'm a big Tony Shaloub fan and loved him as Luigi. Owen Wilson is the perfect voice choice for Lightning McQueen. Larry the Cable Guy as Mater is very funny and actually CLEAN! I liked the plot and the message. My 15 year old son went with me and he really enjoyed it, too.

The audience I was with had a lot of very young children who at first squirmed and there were some crying children who had to be taken out but once the movie got going, all the kids were mesmerized for the entire show.

As an adult: I really enjoyed it. I'm going back again with my husband and dear friend tonight. I told my oldest son and his fiancée to go see it, too. I think they will thoroughly enjoy the movie. It is very clever and adults who like Disney and Pixar should enjoy this movie.

As a mom: I think this movie is good for kids of all ages. There was a young boy about 4 years old in front of us who was totally into it. Its rated G for GREAT!

The animated short, One Man Band, is fun and be sure to stay all the way thought the credits. They have some very cute clips all the way to the very end.

And be sure to get your kicks on Route 66!
