The "Year of a Million Dreams" which replaced the "Happiest Celebration on Earth" had its International Press Event here at Walt Disney World. Starting on Wednesday the 24th and ending on Friday the 26th, was to showcase to the Media all the new and exciting events, shows and new attractions that Disney has in store for the year. This "Magical" year will let guests at Disneyland in California and Walt Disney World here in Orlando realize their dreams. The schedule for the mega-event is as follows:

Wednesday the 24th: From 5pm to 7pm it was the premiere of "Finding Nemo, the Musical". This amazing Broadway-style show is innovative with it's use of puppets to tell the story of Nemo. On hand at the premiere was the Executive Vice President of Disney's Creative Entertainment, Ann Hamburger, the creator of the amazing puppets, Michael Curry, the composers of the hit song "Big Blue World" Bobby and Kristen-Anderson Lopez, and cast members of the show.

Next was 7:30pm to 9:30pm for the re-dedication and Official opening of the "Seas with Nemo and Friends" pavilion. The re-dedication was done by Meg Crofton, President of Walt Disney World. This Big Blue World Party ended with a fine dinner at the Coral Seas restaurant and a Fireworks and laser show.

Thursday, the 25th: The day began with a Disney Dream Jobs talk by Al Weiss, the President of Worldwide Operations, Magic Kingdom

At 11:00am the grand opening and dedication of the new "Disney Wish Lounge" for recipients of the "Make a Wish Foundation" located by Casey's Corner.

At 11:40am: The new "Dream along with Mickey" castle forecourt show with the new magical "Blinking Eyes" headgear, and a special performance just for the Media.

Starting 1pm to 2pm: And with performances throughout the rest of the afternoon the first showing to the media of "Monsters Inc, Laugh Floor Comedy Club. On hand after the show were several of the Imagineers behind the show, whom I got a chance to talk to about this high-tech new attraction.

From 7:30pm to 10:30pm: We all honored the first family to win the coveted stay in Cinderella's castle suite, the Royal Treatment Celebration, ending with a fantastic dinner/dessert and fireworks display!
