Restaurant Review - Rainforest Café
1/6/2004

By: Glenda Werner

The Rainforest Café is located at the end of Downtown Disney California. It is hard to miss with the flame coming out of the top of the large building. Even if you don’t eat hear you should come check out the gift shop and just walk around taking in all the sights and sounds of the Rainforest.

Rate the following (1-5 where 1-Poor, 2-Fair, 3-Good/Average, 4-Very Good, 5-Excellent)

  • Food: 5
  • Service: 4
  • Atmosphere: 5, I love the theme and we sat one table from a fish tank, which the kids enjoyed.

Okay for Children: Yes

Okay for Couples: Yes, you might even be able to get a fairly secluded table at slow times.

Be sure to try: the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger was awesome.

General tips: I’ve found that lunch is slower than dinner here. Either make a reservation for dinner 24 hours in advance, or show your Safari Club card for priority seating. If not, you could have a 2 hour wait for a table on a busy night.

Money saving tips: Some plates are big enough to share (not the burger).

Extra comments: I don’t like the hamburgers inside the parks (DL or DCA). They taste baked or something, no flavor. This is where I’ll go for a burger.
