I saw the new section on Mickey News. My family exchanged houses with a French family from Epernay last summer. Epernay is a small town about 1 hour by car from Paris Disneyland. We endured the heat of last August - where more than 15,000 people died from the heat wave. Disneyland was our paradise because most of the park is air conditioned!
The park is the most beautifully decorated of all the Disney properties I have been to. Imagine all those French gardeners putting their exquisite talents to work in one place in France.
Also, the castle is very nice. It comes in three levels: on top is the tale of Snow White in stained glass, in the middle are shows, and in the basement is a sleeping dragon that looks like he will wake at any moment.
The day at the park ends near midnight with a parade and fireworks. Instead of flying away from the castle, Tinker bell ascends up to the castle in what looks like a glimmering cable car.
Some rides have the same name but are completely different. For example, the Indian Jones ride is a backwards looping roller coaster in PDL. And Space Mountain is an incredible high-speed indoor looping roller coaster that blasts off on the outside of the hill. And we found it fun to see a section of It's A Small World devoted to the USA.
Photos have been posted in the DLP section.
