Greetings from Alaska, the home of the World's Largest Cabbage--That's a lot of cole slaw!!

If you've seen the "trailer" for Mr. 3000, then you have a basic working knowledge of the plot for this movie. Bernie Mac does an excellent job playing a very self absorbed "team of only one" baseball player, who learns to grow up. This movie is a bit predictable but there is some good and interesting conflict as well as some positive lessons learned. The audience and I found Mr. 3000 to be very enjoyable.

As an Adult: Well...let's be honest...this is not an Oscar contender though I think Mac did a superb job. I found this movie to be very entertaining and fun. I left with a good feeling and a smile on my face. And with my husband STILL in Baghdad, well, that's saying something.

As a conservative Mom: There was more swearing than I would have liked but it wasn't what I would consider vulgar. The sexual content was suggestive but mild. It definitely qualified for the PG-13 rating it got. Will I take my teenage boys to see it??? You bet! We're going to a matinee tomorrow.

I gave Mr. 3000 a 92 primarily because the audience I was with really enjoyed this movie. If you want to go see some light hearted fun and like baseball even a little bit or like Bernie Mac (which I do!) then this is a good movie for you. I wouldn't exactly call this a young child's movie but there were a large number of families in the audience.
