Here are the details:

A friend of our family was standing at the main entrance to the Blue Bayou in the doorway. The main entrance being next to the podium where you can make a reservation or check in. He was half in the doorway and half on the walkway in the front of the restaurant. I was standing about 3 feet in front of him next to the bench where my husband and his brother were sitting with my 5 year old son. It just happened that my son decided to stand up on the bench and jump off into the open lobby space just as this women walked out towards me. He missed landing on her leg by inches, had she not stepped to the side he'd have landed on her.

At this point I looked at my husband who grabbed my sons arm to pull him out of her way, both my husband and my brother in law where talking to my son telling him there’s no room for him to be jumping around. I looked up to see she was standing 2 - 3 feet in front of me. She was being led out by a lady who worked for Disneyland dressed all up in the red and black plaid outfit complete with hat. She had a ton of papers in her hand. She breezed past me followed by Jennifer Love Hewitt, she looked at me from about 2 feet away as I looked at her, we both sort of looked each other up and down.

She was taller than me, I'm 5 foot 3 she was about 5 foot 6 and had black heels on with black pants she was wearing a pink Jacket with white embroidery on the back it appeared to be a castle of some sort. She had a black barrette style hat on pulled half way down on her forehead and her hair was in pigtail braids. She had a massive amount of makeup on.

This encounter lasted about 20 seconds, I moved aside and she walked by followed by a short blond headed guy wearing a black jacket that matched her pink one, he also was wearing a hat. However he was looking at the floor. Our family friend said oh my God that was Jennifer Love Hewitt. And we were just like no it wasn't. We had this huge debate. Finally we were seated, and the debate over whether it was her or not was getting intense.

How were me and our family friend the only ones who even noticed her? So I got up and walked over to where a bunch of waitresses and waiters were all talking, about 4 of them. And I interrupted and asked them if it was Jennifer Love Hewitt. To my surprise they replied YES it was her. Our waitress was kind enough to tell us that her and her gentleman friend (was what she referred to the guy as) had in fact dined in the corner by the water, Jennifer Love ate Jambalaya and a Coke, however she couldn't recall what the guy ate but she knew he drank a Diet Coke. They dined for about 30 - 45 minutes, and yes they did have a park escort guiding them so they wouldn't be disturbed. And the actual waitress who waited on them had no idea it was Jennifer Love Hewitt until after they had left the restaurant.

There were no words exchanged between any of us and her. My son being only 5 years old of course had no idea, but I can't wait till he grows up and we show him a picture of her and tell him about how he almost jumped on her at the Blue Bayou. The actual date of the encounter was on Friday October 29, 2004 since our reservation was for 1:00p.m. I do recall the time of the encounter was 1:20p.m. And they were running late on reservations. Talk about the right place at the right time.

We never saw them for the rest of the day. I'm not a big fan, but my husband is, he never even saw her, he saw the back of her. I will say in person she looks just like everyone else but with a massive load of makeup on.
