Did You Know that what is known as the Bank of Main Street now, once was an actual fully operating bank? It was operated by Bank Of America (Now BankAmerica) and held the distinction of the only bank in the United States ( for a time, until Walt Disney World ) that was open on Sundays!! Cast Members could actually cash their payroll here, and the address for the bank the check was drawn on read:
Disneyland 1313 N Harbor Blvd. Anaheim CA. 92814 ...because so many bankers found it silly or strange that it was a 'Mickey Mouse Check', Cast Members found it difficult to cash their checks any where BUT Bank Of America in Disneyland!! Now, of course, it is simply a matter of direct deposit... Full banking services were available to Guests (paid Park admission of course!) who were Bank Of America account holders!! |
