It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like...

Well you know how the song goes, but for Disneyland it is a whole bunch of Holiday looks heading your way. Right now it is Disneyland's first ever Halloween Time to help celebrate Halloween for all the little ghosts and goblins. As soon as you approach the main turnstiles of the entrance you are going to notice the amazing jack-o-lanterns that welcome you to Disneyland. (Go take a look at the Disneyland photos section to see what I mean.)

When you enter the park you will quickly notice that the famous mouse head that has welcomed guests for more than half a century is done up in various colors of real pumpkins. Disneyland has done a great job replacing the flowers with gourds. I never thought a pumpkin could look so good.

Walking to Main Street U.S.A. you are greeted by a giant Mickey Mouse jack-o-lantern sitting right in the middle of Main Street. If you have been to the park at Christmas you will notice he is sitting in the spot that will soon be home to one of the most beautiful Christmas Trees in the world!

As you move down Main Street you will see the wonderful Halloween decorations that adorn the light posts as well as the countless jack-o-lanterns that are in the windows of all the buildings down Main Street. Make sure you look up! They are everywhere!

I did expect to see the Halloween theme all through Disneyland but you will only see it on Main Street. This being the first year we can hope that Disneyland adds more to this great new display each year. When you park-hop over to Disney's California Adventure you can't help but notice the giant Candy Corn's that are now the A's in California. Great job with that one Disneyland.

Christmas

Is just around the corner and you will already notice the changes taking place at the park. The Haunted Mansion has already had holidays collide with yet again another visit of Jack and the other stars from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack once again is trying to take over Christmas.

"it's a small world holiday" is just around the corner too. The attraction is currently closed for the overlay and the Cast Members are busy putting up the thousands of Christmas lights as well as adding all the Christmas decorations to the interior of the attraction. It is scheduled to re-open on November 10 and is sure to be as beautiful as always.

Soon after Halloween is over you will start to see the Christmas decorations going up all over the parks and I can't wait to enjoy another holiday season at Disneyland.

Park Updates

There are a couple of rides that are currently down for refurbishment, as I mentioned "it's a small world" will be down until November 10, the Monorail is scheduled to re-open on December 15 and the Matterhorn is yet again undergoing some work and is scheduled to re-open on December 16. Of course these dates could change and it is always best to check with the park for the most up to date information. Nemo is coming along very nicely according to Cast Members and it is rumored that they are ahead of schedule for the 2007 launch of the newest attraction at the park.
