My Club 33 Caper

Due to a generous friend, I had the opportunity to lunch at Club 33. A private club nestled in New Orleans Square within the realm of Disneyland. Our large group gathered in the Court Of Angels, in anticipation of our exciting treat.

On this occasion, my sisters were with me- for the first time in over twenty year that all four of us were there together. It made this time all the sweeter! As we entered the famous green door, the atmosphere literally changed around us, and we examined every part of the lobby, so as to permanently imprint in our minds this rare event.

Four of us chose to enter the beautiful reproduction glass elevator to the second floor dining area, while the rest climbed the carved wooden stairway. I kept imagining all of the famous people, including Walt Disney himself, touching the railings, opening the elevator door, sitting in the chairs and talking with their guests.

Our group was so large; we took up a whole dining area. We meandered over to the salad buffet and exclaimed over the choices presented to us. Our entrees were cooked to perfection, and the dessert bar was to die for! Everything was so delicious; it was hard to not stuff yourself. And the service was absolutely fantabulous!

We ended the afternoon acquiring souvenirs and giving a toast to those of our group that couldn't be there with us that day. Finally, we had a private escort out of the club all the way to Main Street, where the Red Carpet Walk would take place, as our reservation had been for the day of the Pirates Of The Caribbean Premier, which was the icing on the cake.

It was a day of riding several attractions, an absolutely scrumptious lunch, great conversation and wonderful friends. An exquisite experience that really made it "The Happiest Place On Earth"!
