Disney has determined that a faulty exit platform was the problem on a water ride at Walt Disney World in Florida, where five visitors and an employee were injured today.
Authorities say the family of 4 and a teenager suffered neck and back pain and other bumps and bruises, but no serious injuries on the ride.
A Disney spokeswoman says a sensor on the Kali River Rapids ride tripped, stopping the ride and forcing riders to evacuate.
The injuries happened while people were moving from floats to a walkway. Disney determined the problem was a faulty exit platform.
The park has removed the platform and reopened the ride.
