Disneyland is the Disney Companies flagship theme park. This was the first park that was built and opened July 1955. It continues to grow to this day and is one of California’s hottest theme park destinations.

Disney Stunt Performer Dies During Rehearsal
Associated Press
8/19/2009

A Walt Disney World stunt performer died after an accident while rehearsing for the Indiana Jones show at the Hollywood Studios theme park in Orlando.

A Disney spokeswoman says the stunt performer was rehearsing Monday evening for the ''Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular'' and was hurt while doing a tumbling roll. He was taken to the hospital and later died.

The performer's name has not been released.

Disney spokeswoman Zoraya Suarez says Disney officials have notified the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Orange County Sheriff's Office of the accident.

Out of respect for the man, Suarez says the Indiana Jones show will not be performed Tuesday.
