If you are planing to go to Disneyland this week, you need these tips. The Disneyland Resort is busy, but not packed. That's right, you won't see 2 hour line at any attraction. In fact, the Daily Disneyland Examiner waited ONLY 20 minutes getting into the submarine ride -- and it is August!
So what exactly are you waiting for? Why haven't you visited Disneyland this month? Do you need an invite from Mickey Mouse? Silliness aside, it is the best time for visiting the Disneyland Resort - the lines are light, the summer evenings are beautiful and well, the attractions are super fun!
Here are some tips to make the day even BETTER!
1. Shut off your electronic toys. Like all the way off. Putting them on vibrate isn't the off position. I noticed so many families standing in line on their vacation all looking at their cells, iPods and even a few PDA's. I hate to be the one who asks, but is this really a vacation? Take time to visit with each other in the lines (short as they maybe) and experience Disneyland Together. You can always check your electronic life back at the hotel.
2. Be adventurous and ask for the front seat on one attraction. That's right, you want the front row one time to experience the attraction differently. By simply asking the Cast Member, you will be happily accommodated especially with the lighter crowd right now. Your party will LOVE this opportunity.
3. Get yourself a piece of Disney for the day. Now is the time to buy a hat, balloon or light stick that you can enjoy all day and play with it. This advice goes for the adults too. If you just stand in line and wait for the attraction you are missing half the fun - get involved by having something fun to play with. The Daily Disneyland Expert got this cute ghost charm (Halloween stuff is at the Disneyland Resort) and felt like a kid all night!
4. Take time for a break during the day and make yourself relax at Disneyland. It could be ten minutes under the tree, a quick stop for a soda or just having lunch, but take the time. There is plenty of time to get on the attractions and with the lower attendance, you can manage to enjoy all the rides you want to play on!
5. Watch a Disneyland Show. It doesn't matter if it is the fireworks, a parade or the street performers, take a minute to watch and be entertained.
Disneyland is the perfect place to create memories and that whole idea of 'memory making' begins with you and how you decide the day will be once your family hits the park. Make it memorable!
