Attention Disney Space Mountain attraction riders, you need to get to Disneyland immediately to get your fix. Unless you want to wait a month to ride the attraction as it is about to be closed According to the Disneyland website, the Space Mountain Attraction is being shut down for several weeks while a 'Holiday Refurbishment' is being done on the attraction. This starts on September 8, 2009 This 'Holiday Refurbishment' is the theme and light change for Halloween. And while this holiday edition to Space Mountain maybe an a great when it arrives, the time in between means this popular ride will be unavailable! The sad apart about this decision is folks heading to the D23 Expo won't get the chance to enjoy this classic ride when they visit the park. It is for sure many D23 Fans will be disappointed! So grab a ticket, a park hopper or your annual pass and head down to Disneyland for a final Space Mountain Ride so you have your fun ride to tie you over until the ride returns.
