Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas Premiering on Disney DVD and Video on November 9
Disney
11/7/2004

This Christmas, find out who's been naughty and who's been nice in an all-new Disney holiday movie, MICKEY'S TWICE UPON A CHRISTMAS. Mickey, Donald, Goofy and their pals join Santa Clause in an all-new, original animated movie about discovering the true joys of the holidays, in dazzling computer generated animation. This heartwarming and hilarious holiday celebration premieres on Disney DVD and video on November 9, 2004. Available for $29.99 (S.R.P.) on Disney DVD and $24.99 (S.R.P.) on VHS.

On Disney DVD, MICKEY'S TWICE UPON A CHRISTMAS includes a full line-up of great bonus features for the entire family. Included are the comic "All Things Deleted" behind-the-scenes secrets; "Inspiration on Ice" featurette with superstar Michelle Kwan, "Guess What Donald is Singing?" sing along program; "Santa's Workshop Challenge;" the fun "Santa's Sort" game; a DVD menu decorator; and a DVD-ROM holiday card maker.

In a Disney first, MICKEY'S TWICE UPON A CHRISTMAS features the debut of Mickey Mouse and his friends in full computer-generated-animation. Over 75 years after making history as the first animated character to employ synchronized sound, Mickey Mouse remains as popular as ever, and now Mickey and Disney's classic characters Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto and more can be enjoyed in the state-of-the-art, wondrous 3D "CGI" world.

MICKEY'S TWICE UPON A CHRISTMAS weaves together a touching tale of holiday cheer. Figure skaters Minnie and Daisy are best pals, but each thinks they're the star of the big ice show. A battle for skating supremacy ensues, with each trying to top the other with more daring and spectacular moves. It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt, though, and they find that it's better to share the spotlight than to steal the show.

Meanwhile, Donald's delightfully mischievous nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie realize they may be left off Santa's good list this year. There's no time left to mend their ways, so their only course of action is to break into Santa's workshop and write their own names on the list. By the time their mission is complete, however, they learn a valuable lesson about selflessness and giving.

Donald, however, just wants to stay home and avoid the hassle of Christmas. But Daisy and the Nephews drag him to the mall, where a particular Christmas carol follows him everywhere and drives him bananas. He destroys half the mall trying to escape it, but finally gives in and lets the music and spirit of Christmas into his heart.

Donald's pal Goofy has his own family issues to deal with during the holidays. Goofy's son Max brings his college girlfriend Mona home for the holidays to meet his dad – and he begs Goofy not to embarrass him with any over-the-top antics! As usual Goofy makes a hilarious mess of the meeting, but as always Goofy's heart is in the right place. By the end of the visit, Max sees that his Dad has won Mona over just by being himself.

Mickey has to get back into the Christmas spirit when Pluto decides to run away after accidentally destroying Mickey's prized Christmas decorations. Pluto inadvertently ends up on a train to the North Pole, where he falls in with Santa's Reindeer and is soon having the time of his life. But soon Pluto and Mickey miss each other, and they get Santa's help to reunite. They both learn that being together is more important than anything else at Christmas.

Directed by Matthew O'Callaghan. Produced by Pam Marsden-Siragusa.
