Walt Disney World reported that the resort and its 60,000 employees combined to make $33.6 million in cash, volunteer and in-kind contributions in 2007.

In its newly-released annual Community Engagement Report, Disney World listed such contributions as volunteer service, blood donations, collected toys and school supplies, children's "wish organization" trips, executive and professional expertise and cash pledges.

Among highlights: a pledged $10 million package to Florida Hospital Orlando to assist in the building of a state-of-the-art children's hospital; a $12.5 million pledge toward a new downtown Orlando performing arts center; a $1 million contribution toward refurbishment of the Walt Disney Amphitheater at Lake Eola Park; 23,000 toys for Toys for Tots, 6,000 "wish trips" for children facing life-threatening medical conditions and 10 percent of the Central Florida blood supply.
