The creative teams behind three Disney Channel series, Walt Disney Television Animation's "Kim Possible" and "Brandy & Mr. Whiskers" and the Playhouse Disney hit from William Joyce and Nelvana Ltd., "Rolie Polie Olie," won Daytime Emmy Awards on Saturday at the 32nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards creative arts ceremony in Beverly Hills. Disney Channel led all cable networks in Daytime Emmy Awards wins at this event.
Marking the series second Daytime Emmy Award, "Rolie Polie Olie" won in the category Outstanding Special Class Animated Program. Honored with the award are series creator/executive producer William Joyce; executive producers Michael Hirsh, Scott Dyer and Corinne Kouper; supervising producers Guillaume Hellouin and Pamela Lehn; producers Susie Grondin, Eric Flaherty and Christophe Archambault; supervising director Mike Fallows; directors Ron Pitts and Bill Giggie; and writers Nadine Van Der Velde, Steve Sullivan, Alice Prodanou and Robin J. Stein. The series is produced by Nelvana Ltd. and televised daily during Disney Channel's learning-focused programming block Playhouse Disney.
"Kim Possible" and its production team Melissa Ellis and Fil Brown won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing – Live Action and Animation category. The series received five nominations this year. The fifth category will be announced Friday during a ceremony in New York. "Kim Possible" airs daily on Disney Channel and Toon Disney and Saturday mornings on the ABC Television Network's ABC Kids. Bob Schooley and Mark McCorkle are the series' creators/executive producers and the series is a production of Walt Disney Television Animation.
