In concept Disney-MGM Studios is supposed to be working movie studio theme park, not unlike Universal Studios in Los Angeles used to be. In reality, little production actually seems to be done at Disney-MGM. Even the movie sound stages have been removed from the Backlot Tram Tour. Instead, Disney characters and movie themed thrill rides are the current focus. That being said, many people find Disney-MGM their second favorite Walt Disney World Resort theme park, behind the Magic Kingdom. Florida Disney World
