Adventureland Battle with daring pirates or be enchanted by Agrabah, in Adventureland…

In Disneyland Park in Paris, Adventureland and Frontierland do a bit of a shuffling act, because Adventureland is now located at the rear of the park, unlike in its American counterparts.

Adventueland in Paris, like the rest of the Resort, is again another completely different experience. It doesn’t have a Jungle cruise (which California, Florida, Tokyo and even the soon to be complete Hong Kong Resort all have!); neither does it have an Enchanted Tiki Room (much to my personal disappointment!). But what it does have instead, I’m sure you will agree, is just as much fun, and just as daring as anything Disney have attempted before…

Discoveryland Speed into the past, and discover a future that never was; in Discoveryland…

Unlike the American Magic Kingdom style theme parks, Disneyland Park in Paris doesn’t have a Tomorrowland. It does though have Discoveryland; unique to Disneyland Resort Paris.

It may have similar attractions to the US parks, but in fact it is completely different!

The US parks are designed to reflect a future that human’s dream of; clean cut, super smooth living with sleek technology. Discoveryland in Paris is actually more or less opposite that!

Discoveryland in Disneyland Resort Paris is deigned to reflect a pre 20th century feel, with that edge of being ‘advanced and futuristic’.

For example, a lot of what has been done here is how for example, Jules Verne would have imagined the world of today to look. The land is based on many of these old Victorian science fiction novels (e.g., 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and From the Earth to the Moon; which of course what Discoveryland’s Space Mountain is called) and it works very well.

Discoveryland is located in the same place though as the American Tomorrowland’s – to the left of Main Street as you approach the Castle.

Try to look into Discoveryland at night too; it takes on an all new appearance with its laser lights and almost alien like glow!

Set off for a different planet from Discoveryland!

Take off in a flash to conquer the stars. And don't forget to fasten your safety belt!

An intergalactic adventure is waiting for you at every turn in this futuristic universe, with Space Mountain and its unique sensations!

Fantasyland Come visit a land where Princesses live in castles and elephants fly; visit Fantasyland…

Fantasyland in Disneyland Paris is just top notch!

It rivals and is in some ways better than its Floridian counterpart!

It has beautiful design features and facades. The attractions are top class and the atmosphere is great. There are some attractions unique to Paris that adds to the magic too.

Frontierland Yee-Ha! This is cowboy country at Disneyland Park, with Frontierland!

Ready for a boot stomping, finger snapping hoe-down?! This is cowboy country! Set in the fictional Wild West town of Thunder Mesa, Frontierland in Disneyland Park is not to be missed, even if you aren’t a big fan of the Wild West ideals. Some of the best attractions in the park are located here too.

Main Street U.S.A. Like the other Disney Resorts from around the world you start you magical journey into the wonderful world of Disneyland through Main Street U.S.A.
Main Street U.S.A at Disneyland Park in Paris is a slightly different experience to the other Resorts though, and that’s what makes the magic even better…

Once you have officially ‘stepped inside’ the park you will be in an open area that is like a plaza area with a few shops and amenities. Straight ahead, and unmistakeable, is the Main Street U.S.A Railroad Station, up on a raised platform. (Quick Tip: Once in Main Street U.S.A you can go up the stairs inside the station and look over the Main Street below. It makes a good photo opportunity!)
The four trains continuously encompass the park. (For an in depth insight into the trains of Disneyland Park, see the Main Street U.S.A Attraction section)
Pass under the tunnels below the station, where you can collect guide maps in numerous languages and hire lockers. There are also some interesting posters featured along the walls here too.
You have now just stepped back in time!
You will arrive in the Town Square upon exiting the station. To your left you have City Hall, where you can ask the Cast Members within just about anything regarding the park make reservations for the table service restaurants in the park and withdraw cash.
To the right of the station (opposite City Hall) is where you can hire strollers and wheelchairs.
In the centre of Town Square is a small band stand, often used to stage character greetings and where you can find Cast Member to provide information. (Quick Fact: At Halloween this band stand turns into a giant pumpkin! Where you can find information on seasonal events)
Main Street U.S.A is often alive with music, characters (character greeting often take place at various times throughout the day), and quaint old vehicles travelling up and down, from Town Square to Central Plaza at the foot of Sleeping Beauty Castle.
There are many shops and Boutiques to explore here too, including the fabulous Main Street Emporium.
