Epcot originally EPCOT Center, for Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow opened its futuristic gates on October 1, 1982. The original park cost around $1 billion to construct. It isn't even called Epcot Center anymore, but I sometimes call it that because I am quite maudlin. The park is divided into two sections: Future World and World Showcase, the former containing pavilions demonstrating various facets of future and present life, and the latter with many countries' cultures represented. Throughout the years, Epcot has evolved into one of the most informative, yet entertaining parks in The World. Florida Disney World

Its tentative. meaning it might go it might not. There will be a while till we see some life getting pumped into world showcase. There are 8 spots left to fill for in W.S. for other countries.

Is woders of life goning to be tory down

During the Food & Wine festival, they used the WoL building. Inside, they'd painted the upper wall white, removed a lot of stuff from the main area. Basically they'd stripped out at least 50% of the stuff. Shortly after, WoL was no longer listed at all on the park map. It went from being open all the time, to being on the map, but listed on the times guide as "open seasonally" to having its name removed. The significance to this is that everytime I've seen an attraction have its name removed from the map (Horizons, World of Motion, Timekeeper, etc.) it never came back. So... yes it's a safe bet that the WoL will be torn down, but I don't think that will take place until they have firm plans for whatever will replace it.

I heard 2 rumors...1 was that a ride was being worked on behind the building that Sorin was in and the other was that DisneyQuest was closing and they were constucting an ESPN Zone in its place in Downtown Disney (I didnt see a downtown disney rumor site, sorry)

     Reported by: Jason on: 8/15/2007

No new attraction is being constructed behind Soarin'. Also I would love to comment on the status of DisneyQuest, but I can't.

Do you think that EPCOT will get a brand new pavillion because it needs it!

     Reported by: ChampDisney on: 1/23/2007

There will not be another pavilion for quite some time, if ever. There just is not enough room around World Showcase Lagoon for it.

i heard that they were taking out mission space's motion part and now it well just sit there and watch the movie

     Reported by: antonfire321@yahoo.com on: 8/5/2006

Disney changed the ride to offer two versions. The original spinning ride and the non-spinning ride. However, the non-spinning ride still will have motion in that of the pitch and roll features. The non-spinning ride could be compared to Star Tours or the late Body Wars.
