I remember getting to that Doom-y level and getting SCREWED by the time limit again and again. Everything before that part tho was a lot of fun.

I didnt get to purchase this game back in the day(as a kid i was low on cash), I do have it now and it is one of the most impressive games on the Genesis, challenging yet fun!

If you want to find a decent 3D platformer that’s based on a movie, I’d recommend spongebob the movie for Xbox or ps2, I thought it was fun.

I need to get this game out the loft now!!!!

Thankyou for your valuable input, because as you well know people play 15+ year old games to get the best possible graphics and cleanest audio. Damn the graphics on the Snes are so awesome……

cripplingly difficult games by today’s standard: loz. by older standards: contra. contra by today’s standards: (you hear the sound of a gamer with his world crashing down around him sobbing his eye’s out waiting for his mommy to get COD set up for him)

To this day I have yet to find a VGM player which can play the theme from “A Buzz Clip” correctly.

I still think that first person stage is one of the most amazing things ever pulled out on a stock sega genesis without additional hardware…right next to the mode7-like minigame on Pier Solar.

I swear, I wish I could punch you very hard for not only bringing up CoD on a TOY STORY review, but the fact you insult CoD on a TOY STORY review. A TOY…..STORY……REVIEW………

i simply used the most well known example of an overly simplified game so that the maximum number of people could relate and identify with my statement while simultaneously making it as effective as possible due to the slap in the face towards pop culture AND the fact that, as previously stated, the most people could understand and relate. i aalso made a funny joke that wouldnt work with any but a few obscure franchises

what the KA on the cartridge actually means is “Karnage Approves”.

I LOVE this game! I bought it at a swap meet as a kid and was impressed by the visuals, controls, gameplay, everything! To this day I marvel at it’s overall quality. It’s fairly easy at first, but as you progress, the levels get harder. I have to agree that movie games were better in those days. Aladdin is a Genesis classic. As well as the Aladdin on the SNES, which is completely different from the Genesis Aladdin.

    The graphics are amazing!

The pre-rendering must’ve taken ages to make, and then pushing the 64 color limit and sprite size limit. They even have full 3D, without the 32x!

games today offer more depth but less difficulty, I swear it softens your reflexes. After going back to classic Megaman I had a hard time timing my jumps, it wasn’t after a few tries that I got my groove back.

The Toy Story series of games really do standout for being consistently good compared to other movie based games through the years

  24. MrDavidX96 on June 26, 2012 at 11:41 pm

yeah, older games are like that, especially after a while of newer games. but you do make a good point about games today, they do have more mechanics and depper stories, etc, but they are too easy, even for me, and im no MLG
