I don’t remember a bird causing this much excitement in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park since Zazu and Iago announced their departure from Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room a while back. I am, of course, speaking of the return of Orange Bird and the Citrus Swirl to Sunshine Tree Terrace.

Above is a look at Orange Bird hanging out in Adventureland back in July 1974. I’m sure he’s dreaming about getting his hands on a delicious Citrus Swirl, and I can’t say I blame him. I even headed out into the park with my friend Flossie to try some of that Citrus Swirl deliciousness for myself last week. (I’m always looking for an excuse to go out into the parks on a “work assignment”).

It really is the perfect treat while in Magic Kingdom Park on a warm summer day.
