Tonight’s Disney Parks After Dark photo was snapped at Phantom Manor at Disneyland Park in Paris.

Located in Frontierland, Phantom Manor has a thrilling (and somewhat chilling) backstory. According to local legend, Henry Ravenswood was a Western settler who struck gold in nearby Thunder Mesa. He poured his wealth into building a grand mansion where he and his family lived happily for years – until Henry’s beautiful daughter became engaged to a miner who planned to take her away. Disapproving of the engagement, Henry vowed to stop them from marrying. But suddenly a mysterious force struck Thunder Mesa with an earthquake, killing both Henry and his wife.

Shortly after the earthquake, Henry’s daughter was left at the altar by husband-to-be. Time passed, but she never took off her wedding dress – only wandered through the mansion in the hopes that her fiancé would arrive.
