Did you join us at the inaugural Star Wars Half Marathon – The Dark Side? Sith, stormtroopers and even a few rebels showed up to run in the race weekend at Walt Disney World Resort. Runners who jumped to lightspeed from Disneyland to Walt Disney World participating in both the Star Wars Half Marathon – The Light Side and the Star Wars Half Marathon – The Dark Side earned the runDisney Kessel Run Challenge medal.
Star Wars contributor Cole Horton participated in all of the races on both coasts, which earned him a bounty of medals!
Runners embraced their dark side style through their outfits on and off the course. Runners also had the opportunity to meet some of their favorite Star Wars characters on and off the course. One of the highlights was Kylo Ren surrounded by First Order stormtroopers inspecting runners during the half marathon!
Captain Phasma, Darth Vader and Boba Fett all made appearances before and after each race giving runners a unique opportunity to meet some of their favorite villains.
