While the epicenter of Epcot International Food & Wine Festival spans World Showcase Promenade and Future World, the entire Walt Disney World Resort gets in on the fun with special culinary events.

Here are some of the “beyond Epcot” events that offer a closer look at some of Disney’s hottest restaurants.

Fans of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will love “Brunch With a Twist” at the resort, where the hotel’s award-winning chefs from Victoria & Albert’s, Narcoossee’s, Grand Floridian Cafe andCitricos take over the Citricos kitchen to bring guests an over-the-top five-course brunch paired with wines.

Just one date is still open, noon-2 p.m., November 3. $169 includes tax, gratuity and valet parking.

Ever wonder why certain foods evoke a positive or negative emotional response? Can you do a blind taste test and distinguish flavors? “Secrets of Flavor” at Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is an enlightening tasty journey.

The experience starts with an hour-long tasting session, where you get to try flavors like a 20-year-old balsamic vinegar and a classic, 2-year-old Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese. You’ll learn “lessons from the naked grape” and why wine vendors “buy on apples and sell on cheese.”

End with a three-course luncheon – we promise you’ll look at the flavors differently. The event will be noon-2 p.m. September 22, October 20 and November 3; $129 includes tax and gratuity

Three of our favorites are among restaurants offering “Culinary Adventures in Signature Dining,” a delightful way to learn a little something while enjoying great food.

Popular ESPN Club has three lunches – September 20, September 27 and October 4 – and it’s all local and regional beer as chefs and brew masters converge for this annual beer tasting lunch. Start time is noon, $119 includes tax and gratuity.

Fans of Narcoossee’s fantastic seafood will enjoy a Sept. 24 five-course lunch featuring local, sustainable ingredients paired with wines. Lunch starts at noon, $199 including tax and gratuity.

Finally, one of our longtime Disney Springs favorites – Portobello Country Italian Trattoria is hosting a dinner at 7:30 p.m. September 28. If you love olives, this reception-style event celebrates their versatility with authentic Italian dishes. $110 includes tax and
