There’s something magical about playing your favorite sport or watching your athletes compete right in the middle of Walt Disney World Resort. So, what events take place here? A variety! Athletes from more than 100 countries compete in more than 60 different sports at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex each year.

In addition to our Disney owned events and competitions such as Disney Soccer, Disney Baseball, and Disney Spring Training, some of the biggest youth sports championships in the nation are hosted at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The Pop Warner Super Bowl, AAU Girls’ Junior National Volleyball Championships and Varsity Summit All Star Cheerleading Championship, just to name a few. In fact, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex will soon be the epicenter of cheer and dance with the expansion of the new indoor sports venue.

ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex is also a training ground. In addition to Atlanta Braves Spring Training, Gruden’s QB Camp and Disney Spring Training, athletes can also train with world-renowned strength and conditioning coach Tom Shaw.

One of the reasons our Complex is so unique, is the relationship we have with ESPN who is “the worldwide leader in sports.” ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex is also a satellite campus for ESPN, much like Charlotte and Los Angeles. ESPN creates programming down here, and tests new innovation for future broadcasts.
