Sous Chef Daniel Contreras is very proud of being able to add a bit of cultural flair to his dishes, especially the ones he has created for the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.

Daniel, who was born at Neiva in Colombia, has been working at Walt Disney World Resort since 2006, and one of the things that he has been able to incorporate into the food that he prepares is his love for his culture.

Another love of his is corn, a staple in Colombian cuisine as well as in many other Latin American countries. No wonder his dish, smoked ribs with corn and black bean salad from the Smokehouse Outdoor Kitchen, is one of his favorites!
