When you’re a pop star and you’re on a national concert tour, you work pretty much every day. So, days off are few and far between. But, magically, one of those free days materialized, and Hollywood Records Artist Sabrina Carpenter got to spend that rare day off enjoying Walt Disney World Resort with her family.

I’ve had the good fortune to work on a number of Disney Channel projects with the multi-talented singer and actress, so it was really great to catch up with her at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Over Cobb Salads at the Hollywood Brown Derby Restaurant, she talked about being at the halfway point of her Summer De-Tour.

“The best part about being on this tour has been getting to go to new places. And experiencing new things, which helps me be more creative. And along the way, the audiences have been so welcoming, and really amazing.”

And she was certainly happy to be back at Walt Disney World. She shared that it’s a mandatory stop, whenever travels bring her to Florida. “This is where I have to come…it’s my happy place.”

Sabrina says as a family, they love visiting the International Pavilions at Epcot. “It’s so cool to experience all of these cultures, one after the other.”

What else was she excited to see? “Pandora! I’ve heard so much about it, and can’t wait to experience it at night.”

Finally, I asked her what her favorite ride is in all of the Parks.

“Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is still my favorite ride. The first time I came to Walt Disney World, I took a picture in front of the big guitar in front of the ride. I still have that picture.”

And now she has another one to put alongside it.
