On June 6, 2024, Tokyo Disney Resort is set to open its grand new expansion, Fantasy Springs. This $2.1 billion project is the largest development at the Japanese resort since it first opened in 1983 and spans an impressive 35 acres. Fantasy Springs is divided into three enchanting realms inspired by beloved Disney films: Frozen, Peter Pan, and Tangled. Amid these magical lands, guests will also find the new Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel, which boasts both luxury and deluxe accommodations. The hotel’s Grand Château section, complete with terrace rooms offering park views, promises an exclusive experience with its dedicated entry to Fantasy Springs, while the Fantasy Château section provides comfortable yet extravagant stays.
Within Fantasy Springs, the attractions are truly immersive. Frozen Kingdom features Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey, a state-of-the-art ride utilizing the latest audio-animatronic technology. Rapunzel’s Forest offers Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival, a world-first Tangled-themed ride. Not to be outdone, Peter Pan’s Never Land thrills with two attractions: the charming Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies and the groundbreaking Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure, which seamlessly combines 3-D effects with physical sets.
The culinary experiences in Fantasy Springs are equally enticing. Frozen Kingdom offers the Royal Banquet of Arendelle and Oaken’s OK Foods, while Rapunzel’s Forest entices diners at The Snuggly Duckling. In Peter Pan’s Never Land, guests can enjoy Lookout Cookout and a unique roast beef-flavored popcorn from its themed popcorn wagon.
With Tokyo Disney Resort projecting a 5.4% increase in attendance for the fiscal year ending in March 2025, Fantasy Springs is expected to be a major draw.
