Big Changes in Store for Disney Fireworks: Several Sections Scrapped, Show Shortened

Disney fireworks are nothing short of legendary, captivating the skies and the hearts of park visitors worldwide. However, for fans of Disneyland Paris, some changes are on the horizon. This follows a recent announcement by Disney that’s sure to send sparks flying.

The Disney Dreams! show, a beloved nightly spectacle since March 2023 at Disneyland Paris, has dazzled audiences with its seamless blend of classic scenes and melodic sequences from hits like *Peter Pan*, *Ratatouille*, *Beauty and the Beast*, and *Tangled*. Using everything from fireworks to water fountains, lasers to mist screens, it created a magical experience every night. But all good things must come to an end, and so will Disney Dreams! as it gives way to a revised version of Disney Illuminations starting May 31.

The return of Disney Illuminations isn’t all sunshine and pixie dust, as the show will see significant cuts in its content. As reported by DLP Report, the Beauty and the Beast live-action sequence and one of the Frozen scenes will be entirely removed. Unfortunately, these segments won’t be replaced, resulting in a shorter spectacle – about a third shorter, to be precise.

While some fans may view the cuts with dismay, there’s a bit of silver lining. The pre-show, Main Street Electrical Sky Parade, a drone tribute to the cherished Disneyland parade, will remain unaltered. However, fans are already voicing concerns over these changes. Disneyland Resort has also been limiting fireworks to weekends only, leaning more on technologically advanced shows using drones and projection mapping – a trend some fans believe sacrifices the classic magic of fireworks.
