This month, a group of women on a girls’ trip to Walt Disney World Resort found themselves in a rather unique situation after indulging in the famous “Drinking Around the World Showcase” at EPCOT. Their adventure took an unexpected turn when they were trapped on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, a delightful 3D ride located in the France Pavilion of World Showcase.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure has been a crowd-pleaser since it opened at EPCOT in 2021, following its immense success at Disneyland Paris’s Walt Disney Studios Park. The ride ingeniously shrinks guests to the size of a rat, allowing them to explore Paris from a rodent’s-eye view. This imaginative journey takes visitors through the bustling kitchen of Gusteau’s restaurant alongside Remy and Chef Linguini.

The unexpected stall was shared widely on social media by TikTok user @kmkelly91388, who documented the ordeal. The guests found themselves stranded midway through the adventure, leading them to entertain themselves in a rather creative manner. Embracing their inner Disney spirit, the group started repeatedly singing “How Far I’ll Go” from the beloved 2016 animated film Moana. To keep track of their performances, one of the women humorously marked the number of times they sang the song on her arm with a permanent marker.

Disney cast members arrived after what seemed like an eternity, though it was estimated to be around 25 minutes, based on the number of sing-alongs counted. The guests were safely evacuated from the ride, and soon after, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure was back to whisking visitors through Parisian escapades.

These types of incidents are rare, but they certainly add a memorable twist to any Disney visit. Disney’s dedication to safety and guest satisfaction ensures that even when hiccups occur, there’s always a silver lining.
